I hold an Alaska Teaching certificate for History and English at the secondary level. I completed my teaching internship at Barnette Magnet, August 2016-May 2017. While there I taught English composition, Literature, Alaskan History, Geography, and US History. I also taught/mentored students in National History Day, We the People, and competitive debate.
I graduated from UAF in May 2017 with an M.Ed. In Secondary education, for which my focus was digital content and creation. I have experience using Photoshop, InDesign, Aurasma, Adobe Spark, PowerPoint, Kahoot!, and Quizlet amongst others.
I have a BA in History, with minors in English and Asian Studies. I am a member of Phi Alpha Theta, and was an officer in the UAF History Club 2013-2015. I was an officer in the Ice Box Literary Journal club, 2014-2015, and the Managing/Digital Editor as well.
I write, draw, and crochet in my spare time. I love to read and listen to music, but I don’t watch much TV.
